EL SEWEDY CABLES QATAR (Doha Cables Projects Division), founded in 2009, is the pioneer of underground cabling works in the state of Qatar. In the last 14 years, the company has routed, designed, or installed more than 2,000 kilometers of underground transmission lines on behalf of more than 40 local and international clients. The company specializes in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Testing & Commissioning of Underground HV & EHV Cable Projects up to 400KV.

Our key areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, complete EPC underground cable projects, High Voltage Testing, Underground EHV & HV cable fault locating & rectification works, Cable Spiking, Sand Blasting Works, Link Box Modification Works, Cable Route Design, Cable Route Diversion of Existing Circuits, Fiber Optic Cable Works related to EPC, On-Site HVAC Testing System complying with IEC 60840 and IEC 62067, etc.,

As of 2023, we have successfully installed and energized the below numbers of cables and circuits, respectively.

• 3603.6  Kilometers of cables laid (incl. 220 kV, 132 kV, 66 kV, MV, and LV Cables)
• 269 Feeders of cable routes are energized (incl. 220 kV, 132 kV, 66 kV, & 33 kV)

Furthermore, the Projects Division has secured contracts totaling more than USD 700 million to date.

EPC Projects Division has obtained ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications as a leading Turnkey contractor for Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Installation & Commissioning of Power Cables up to 220kV in power transmission and distribution networks.
